New Principal Hired At Milford's Brookside Elementary School
Eric Elmore joins the Brookside community during the first week of August.

MILFORD, MA—Superintendent Dr. Kevin McIntyre announced on Wednesday that Eric Elmore has been picked for the position of Brookside Elementary Principal.
Chosen from a talented group of about 40 applicants, Elmore joins the Brookside community during the first week of August. More than 100 members of the Milford Public Schools community participated in the selection process for a new Brookside Principal including teachers, administrators, parents, and School Committee members. The search process involved a pre-screening committee, two interview committees, three public forums, and individual interviews with district and building administrators.
Elmore currently serves as the Principal of Deer Run Elementary School in Indianapolis, IN, a position he has held for the past four years. Prior to that he worked as an assistant principal at the elementary level and also taught in the classroom for several years. He comes to Milford with more than 18 years of experience in education. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University and his Master of Science in Education from Indiana University-Purdue.

“I’m excited about joining Milford Public Schools and the Milford community,” said Elmore in a statement. “I believe MPS always has the students’ best interest at heart and I am honored to be part of the team. I’m looking forward to serving at Brookside Elementary School and helping move its scholars to the next level of excellence.”
“I am thrilled to have Eric Elmore join us as the new principal at Brookside Elementary School,” said Dr. McIntyre in a statement. “He has an impressive background as both a classroom teacher and a dynamic building administrator, and he brings his passion for supporting student learning, growth, and engagement to Milford. We look forward to Mr. Elmore joining our team in early August.”
