Police Log: 3-Acre Brush Fire, Woman with Alzheimer's Wanders
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 17
4:44 p.m.: A 70-year-old woman with Alzheimer's was reproted missing on Whitewood Road. She wandered off about 15 minutes before family contacted police. An officer requested a K-9 unit. Holden-based State Police said a K-9 unit would be coming from Northampton. Firefighters responded to assist. Upton Police were notified. The woman was found on East Street in Upton, and was checked by medical personnel. She was fine.
6:24 p.m.: A 12-year-old girl reported her father was highly intoxicated and fighting with her mother. Police responded. A report was filed.

6:58 p.m.: A group of youths was reported to be running around on the roof of Woodland Elementary School.
7:28 p.m.: A caller said a group of youths was possibly causing damage to the UMass Memorial Medical Group building, where they were riding skateboards.

8:01 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on his son, who was intoxicated and passed out. The caller was in another state. Police checked and the son was fine.
8:50 p.m.: A woman reported her son was in the Milford Regional Medical Center parking lot, harming himself with a knife. Police checked and the man was in the emergency room, and being evaluated.
9:22 p.m.: A caller on South Main Street said a man was heavily intoxicated and striking walls and "going after the people" on scene. Police responded.
10:09 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at Milford Federal Savings and Loan. A man ran into the police station and said a woman was trying to get away from her boyfriend. Police responded and spoke to everyone involved. The woman's mother arrived to take her away.
Saturday, May 18
12:34 a.m.: Security reported yelling coming from an apartment at Shadowbrook Lane. Police responded and arrested Timothy R. Castle, 32, of 16 Mark Dr., Milford, on a warrant.
1:55 a.m.: A caller reported music was coming from Jefferson Street, and they wanted the house to turn it down. Police spoke to the people involved.
4:04 a.m.: On arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the basement and one of the apartments. Bellingham, Franklin, Ashland and Hopkinton assisted, including with station coverage. The American Red Cross was notified.Â
6:27 a.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and reported he was being threatened by his son.
12:09 p.m.: A brush fire was reported off Eben Street. Access for firefighters was behind the Milford Water Company property, off Dilla Street. A firefighter reported the fire was about 3 acres. A fire official asked police to check the identification of a white male wearing a black tank top, black pants and black gloves walking toward Shadowbrook. Police checked the parking lots, and could not find him. The fire official reported the man had been at the fire scene watching the fire. Police responded to the bike trail. An officer reported he had detained a man matching the description. The man came out of the woods where the fire apparatus went in. Another officer responded to assist. No arrest was reported.
12:09 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and asked police for advice, because her daughter's boyfriend is not wanted at their house, but he keeps showing up.
12:17 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to police about theft of a cell phone.
1:33 p.m.: Kohl's asked to speak to police about a woman in custody for shoplifting.
2:06 p.m.: An officer spoke to a group of youths who were skateboarding in the bus loop at Stacy Middle School.
3:39 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to talk to an officer about the theft of silver coins from his house.
6:07 p.m.: A man told police his next-door neighbor was taking pictures of his wife as she was sitting outside. It is an ongoing problem. Police spoke to both parties.
6:46 p.m.: A woman walked in to speak to an officer about an issue she's having with a store that she used to send money to Brazil. The money has not yet arrived.
6:57 p.m.: A caller reported a past domestic. She said her 15-year-old daughter punched her in the face and stole her phone.
8:30 p.m.: A caller reported people were outside the house with a car stereo playing too loudly.Â
8:39 p.m.: A man and a woman were arguing outside a home, a caller said. Police found nothing on arrival, and spoke with neighbors, who said they did not hear anything.
9:14 p.m.: Police told him to wait outside for firefighters.
10:01 p.m.: A caller on Colonial Road said a group of 15-20 people were gathered in the visitor's lot, and when people attempt to leave the lot, the people are blocking vehicles and refusing to let them leave.
11:43 p.m.: A fire was reported on Woodland Avenue. A woman said she left her stove on, and the pan melted, and now the stove is cracked.
Sunday, May 19
12:54 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Congress at Pleasant streets, police are seeking a summons to charge Hope A. McCarthy, 51, of 3 Farese Rd., Apt. 2LB, Milford, with operating an unlicensed motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having no inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
6:38 a.m: A woman reported construction noise in a plaza on West Street. Police responded and found it was a town street sweeper in the mall location.
8:43 a.m.: A caller at Granite Gulf said a driver in a Jeep had just driven over several boulders in the parking lot. The caller said the woman driver was just sitting in the parking lot, watching traffic. Police responded, and reported the woman had called Art's Towing.
1:33 p.m.: A woman reported her tires were slashed on Colonial Road.
1:48 p.m.: A woman on Congress Street said she wanted to speak to an officer about a person who keeps dumping trash at her house. An officer determined the trash was being dumped by passing motorists. The officer removed the trash.
3:44 p.m.: A man reported his car had been vandalized several times, and most recently today while he was at work at HomeGoods. The car said he found "multiple condiments" on the car in the work lot.
