Police Log: Barking Dog Complaint, Man Throws a Log through House Window

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 3

5:04 p.m.: A caller on Central Street said she had an issue with a dog that is on a leash, barking at her 7-year-old daughter.

5:11 p.m.: A woman reported two men were intoxicated near Purchase Street Market. One was on a bike, wearing a flannel shirt. Police spoke to both men, who were returning home.

5:57 p.m.: A three-car crash was reported on East Main Street. No one was injured.

6:00 p.m.: A man on Purchase Street told police that a wheel had fallen off a car that was passing by his house, and the wheel hit his girlfriend's car.

6:18 p.m.: A man reported a possible domestic on Purchase Street. He said he went to pick up the children and a woman started throwing his items in the yard. Police spoke to everyone involved.

6:21 p.m.: A woman on South Bow Street called police to report a man had a gun. Police responded and determined it was a BB gun.

9:03 p.m.: A caller reported hearing a girl screaming on Victor Drive. Police responded.

9:25 p.m.: A Burger King employee asked to speak to police about a shoplifting incident.

9:55 p.m.: A caller reported kids were running through the Bandy Lane neighborhood, banging on doors.

10:13 p.m.: The caller on Bandy Lane reported more kids were now knocking on doors and running away. Police spoke to the children and parents, who lived on West Fountain Street.

10:43 p.m.: A caller complained of loud music on Sidney Road.

Saturday, May 4

12:31 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Medway Road, near Kohl's Department Store, police were seeking a summons to charge Mark E. Fenter, 24, of 50 West St., Milford, with operating an unregistered motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

5:32 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Memory Lane. A caller reported a man in his 30s just threw a log through a window of a house. Police were not able to locate the suspect.

8:54 a.m.: A brush fire was reported on Haven Street. Firefighters responded, then found more smoke in the area of Cedar Street. Upton, Hopedale and Medway firefighters responded, as well.

11:14 a.m.: A caller said he had struck a deer in the area of the Milford Water Company on Dilla Street.

11:20 a.m.: A caller on Howard Street said an injured hawk was in the front yard. The Milford Animal Control officer was contacted.

11:51 a.m.: A car struck a polce near on Medway Road. A male driver was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

12:47 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report that a man was threatening his landlord on North Vine Street.

1:33 p.m.: A caller reported her car was side-swiped on East Main Street, near Oliva's.

2:12 p.m.: A fire was reported near the gun range off Cedar Street. Holliston, Bellingham, Hopedale, Medway and Hopkinton assisted Milford. 

3:02 p.m.: A caller said a man in a black pickup truck was dumping trash bags and barrels of items in the woods behind Milford District Court. Police could not locate the man.

3:14 p.m.: A brush fire was reported on Eben Street. Firefighters determined it was smoke drifting from the Cedar Street fire.

5:32 p.m.: A group of kids was reported to be sitting in the road, on Colonial Road at Congress Street.

7:05 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Medway Road. No one was injured. Police arrested Alan J. Malonson, 51, of 3 Laurel Court, Franklin, on a charge of OUI liquor, second offense.

8:18 pm.: Three people were reported to be trying to enter a home on Depot Street. Police determined they were neighbors.

8:18 p.m.: A caller reported a car was playing loud music on Pheasant Circle.

8:31 p.m.: State Police reported an erratic driver was crossing over lanes on Cedar Street. The vehicle left I-495 at Exit 20. Police could not locate the vehicle.

10:37 p.m.: CVS employees reported a teen kept coming into the store on South Main Street, although they had asked him to leave.

10:51 p.m.: A caller reported a lot of yelling and noise coming from Grove Street. Police checked and it was OK.
