Police Log: Child Hit with a Bat, Motorcyclist Flees from Police
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, May 7
4:14 p.m.: A caller on Cedar Street reported an intoxicated man was on a bicycle, and weaving in and out of traffic.
4:25 p.m.: A 6-year-old was brought to Milford Regional Medical Center, after he or she was struck in the head with a bat. The incident was reported at Memorial Elementary School.

5:01 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Water at Lee streets. No one was injured. The crash blocked the intersection.
6:53 p.m.: Riverside Community Services asked police to check on the well-being of a teenaged girl, who left during an evaluation. Police went to her home but several large dogs were inside, with no one home.

7:28 p.m.: An elderly man was reportedly sitting on a bench at Hannaford Supermarket, in front of a register. He was heavily disoriented and incoherent. He was taken to the hospital.
7:32 p.m.: Officers were investigating a report of a theft on Congress Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge David R. Tomaso, 28, of 22 Congress St., Apt. 13, Milford, with larceny over $250 and breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony.
7:34 p.m.: A caller reported she had had a fight with her husband at Plains Park, while at her son's baseball game. When she went to leave, her front passenger tire had had the air let out.
8:57 p.m.: A caller reported someone was making construction noise on Wood Street.
9:11 p.m.: An officer reported a motorcyclist had sped off from an attempted police pullover. Police followed suit. Police arrested Jose C. Medina, 37, of 52 Hayes St., Apt. 2, Framingham, on charges of operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, failure to stop for police, speeding greater than reasonable and learners permit violation.
9:20 p.m.: Police checked on the well-being of the teenaged girl referenced in a previous call. She was fine.
10:20 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on the well-being of his wife, who had received a call from a man who was threatening her. Police checked and she was OK.
10:58 p.m: A caller said her ex-husband was banging on her door and refusing to leave. She had been calling and texting her all night. Police responded. The woman obtained a restraining order. The man involved walked in to police headquarters, to speak to an officer. He then went to a hotel, where he is staying, where he was served with the restraining order.
Wednesday, May 8
3:45 a.m.: A caller reported he hit a deer on Cedar Street.
7:51 a.m.: A person walked in to police headquarters to talk about a harassment issue. Police are seeking a summons to charge Jason M. Demars, 30, of 1 Reade St., Apt. 3, Milford, with assault with a dangerous weapon.
11:27 a.m.: A brush fire was reported on Cedar Street, in the area of the Vietnam Trails. The fire was described as slow-moving. Firefighters extinguished it.
11:27 a.m. Firefighters responded to Dilla Street, behind the Milford Water Company property, where an earlier brush fire had also rekindled.
1:34 p.m.: A car hit a pole on Purchase Street. The driver declined medical treatment at the scene.
2:03 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Water at Main Streets. Two callers who witnessed the crash told police the driver in one of the cars switched seats with a passenger. Police are seeking a summons to charge Bradley B. Alberini, 19, of 387 Elliot St., Ashland, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a passing violation.Â
