Police Log: Detergent Bottle Causes Suspicion, Man Crashes then Runs Away

Tuesday, May 14
4:56 p.m.: A caller said a small child was left unattended on Mechanic Street on Sumner Street. She didn't think the child spoke English, and might be handicapped. Police responded and reported the child had reunited with the mother.
5:26 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Sumner Street, police are seeking a summons to charge Maria Velasquez, 29, of 28 Fruit St., Milford, with speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:31 p.m.: A caller said her 19-year-old son was yelling at her. Police responded and took the woman to the station to obtain a restraining order.
7:14 p.m.: A homeowner on Whitney Street told dispatch he thought he had a chimney fire. Firefighters responded to investigate.

7:54 p.m.: A caller on Madison Avenue reported seeing a 20-year-old wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Police responded but the person was gone.
8:21 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report something odd: what appeared to be detergent at every light post on West Street. Police responded and found one bottle of detergent.
8:56 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Central Street, at Depot Street, police arrested Lauro A. Quizhpe, 27, of 55 Bancroft Ave., Apt. 2, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender, opearting a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and a motor vehicle lights violation.
Wednesday, May 15
2:09 a.m.: A caller said his brother was arguing with his parents. Police responded. No arrest was reported.
8:41 a.m.: A caller said his house on Whitewood Road was egged, and he had damage that he wanted to speak about to an officer.
10:48 a.m.: A 30-year-old woman at World Gym had a panic attack, and reported feeling tingling in her arms. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
10:55 a.m.: A caller on Madden Avenue wanted to talk to police about school children walking through her yard and leaving their bikes there.
11:14 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Congress Street, police arrested Brett Conrad Eisenhauer, 27, of 101 Purchase St., Milford, on charges of OUI liquor, carrying a dangerous weapon, speeding and a market lanes violation.
11:32 a.m.: A caller on North Vine Street said a man had crashed into a fence and then took off on foot, heading toward the S-curve. Police found the man on Stanford. Police arrested Jason W. Phillips, 32, of 79 Hollis St., Apt. 204, Holliston, on two warrants.
12:01 p.m.: A brush fire was reported off Cedar Street. Hopedale assisted.
12:59 p.m.: A brush fire was reported in the Vietnam Trails area off Cedar Street. Firefighters responded but found not fire.
1:23 p.m.: A caller said a vehicle went off I-495, struck a tree, then the tree fell on top of the car. The extent of injuries was not known. State Police reported the crash was north of Exit 18. Bellingham responded.
1:55 p.m.: An officer assigned to Milford High School reported that about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, seniors at the school plan to head to the courtyard in the back of the building to "camp out" for the night. He asked officers to check the area at that time.
3:07 p.m.: An elderly woman said she keeps getting calls from a company saying they are coming to her house with a check for a large amount of money.
5:22 p.m.: An unwanted woman was reported to be in the Acogue Vale do Aco meat market at 132 Main St. Police responded and asked the woman to leave, and she did.
