Police Log: OUI Charge Follows Crash, Vehicle Break-Ins
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 23
4:29 p.m.: A caller on Parker Hill Avenue said her car was broken into. The car had been left unlocked. Money and the vehicle registration were missing.
4:43 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and asked for help for her son. Police contacted Riverside Community Services. The mother and son agreed to go to Milford Regional Medical Center.
7:13 p.m.: A group of dogs was loose on Beach Street, running in and out of traffic and creating a traffic hazard. An officer attempted to catch one of the dogs at Main and Pond streets. He caught one dog. Another call came in reporting a dog was running across Central Street. Police could not locate the other dogs.
9:15 p.m.: An officer found a deceased animal on Cedar Street. A message was left for the animal control officer.
9:46 p.m.: An intoxicated person was reported on Spruce at Congress Streets. The person was gone when police arrived.
9:59 p.m.: A caller on West Walnut Street said a man was screaming at houses that he was a Special Forces marine, and was ready for war. She then said her 14-year-old relative was just chased by a man riding a bike.
Thursday, Oct. 24
12:07 a.m.: An intoxicated man called 911. He had locked himself in the bedroom and would not respond. Police left the scene.
9:41 a.m.: A caller reported a possible larceny on Jencks Road.
11:26 a.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Cedar Street. A man had a laceration on his head.
11:32 a.m.: A caller on Whitney Street reported a bike had been left on his lawn.
12:19 p.m.: The man who had been intoxicated and making 911 calls told police he could not walk. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
2:48 p.m.: Juvenile offenses were reported at Middle School East. An officer was investigating.
4:54 p.m.: A neighbor reported a basement door was open on a house that had been vacant for several days. Police secured the building.
5:19 p.m.: State Police relayed a call about a vehicle rollover on I-495 South, south of Exit 19. Firefighters responded.
8:48 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported she had seen a man trying to climb into a window on a house on Water Street. Police were checking it out.
10:34 a.m.: A woman reported her 13-year-old son was out of control, and had torn apart the house and assaulted her. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
10:37 p.m.: A single-car crash was reported on Grove Street. A vehicle struck a telephone pole. National Grid was called. Firefighters responded as one person was trapped. Police shut the road down at Main Street. Wires were yanked off a house on Grove Street. Police were seeking a summons to charge Juan Pablo Chogllo, 27, of 14 Oliver St., Apt. 1, Milford, with failure to drive in the right lane, speeding, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, OUI liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
11:49 p.m.: A caller reported water was coming out of a manhole on Pond Street.
Friday, Oct. 25
12:32 a.m.: An officer checked on an open door at Niro's Auto Body. He found employees working late.
5:51 a.m.: A caller on Lee Street said both of his vehicles had been broken into. They were unlocked.
6:17 a.m.: A caller on Lawrence Street said a Honda Civic had been broken into.
7:51 a.m.: A caller on Forest Street said someone went through his and his wife's car overnight. Only change was taken. No damages were reported.
9:01 a.m.: A caller said his car was broken into on Naples Street overnight. About $10 in change and other small items were taken. The vehicle was not damaged.
9:48 a.m.: A caller on Ravenna Street said about $30 was taken from a car overnight, which was unlocked.
12:56 p.m.: A caller at Stop & Shop said a woman with a young child was standing at the store asking people for money. She was worried due to the cold and the well-being of the child. Police could not locate the two.
1:33 p.m.: A woman reported her car on Forest Street was broken into and her purse stolen. She did not leave more information with the dispatcher and instead asked to speak to a detective, who was not in.
1:59 p.m.: A caller at Fafama Auto Sales said a woman would not leave the showroom and was sleeping on the couch. Police responded. The woman was disoriented and taken to the hospital.
2:01 p.m.: An assistant manager at 7-Eleven reproted that a man who had used a stolen credit card at the store the previous day had returned again to buy a few items. He left in a grey Nissan.
