Police Log: Drug Arrest Follows Motor Vehicle Stop, Side of House on Fire

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

5:56 p.m.: A caller on Casey Drive asked police to log a problem of dirt bikes riding in the woods.

6:23 p.m.: A caller said he had received a call from a man with an Indian accent, asking for bank information. He did not share information, but wanted police to know.

6:35 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Street, near Casey Memorial Pool, police arrested David T. Julian R., 29, of 39 Hayward St., Milford, on two counts of possession to distribute a Class B drug and two counts of possession of a Class B drug.

6:37 p.m.: A caller on Park Terrace reported the side of her house was on fire.

8:18 p.m.: A man in the lobby asked to speak to an officer about his intoxicated father.

8:56 p.m.: A caller reported his friend was hitting his girlfriend. They were coming out of the woods from the Milford quarries. Police responded and took the woman to the station. Police took the 25-year-old man into protective custody.

11:03 p.m.: A complaint of loud music was made on Vassar Drive.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

8:18 a.m.: An officer reported he was struck head-on at Cape Road and Green Streets.

1:15 p.m.: Firefighters and police responded to La Quinta Inn, for a report of a disoriented woman guest. She refused transport to Milford Regional Medical Center.

3:52 p.m.: An employee at Bugaboo Creek Steak house said that at some point in the past three hours, someone had reached through her car window to unlock the door, and took several items from the vehicle.
