Police Log: Fish Salesman Causing Disturbance, Dispute over Tattoo

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 10

5:08 p.m.: State Department of Children and Families employees were at a house removing two children.

5:41 p.m.: Two youths were causing a disturbance on Kellett Drive. Police spoke to them.

6:25 p.m.: A caller reported a woman was pushing a carriage, and yelling about someone having a firearm. Police spoke to everyone, and the woman was startled by someone running after a dog.

6:48 p.m.: A caller said he was threatened by a man who was taking care of his neighbor's lawn on Ravenna Street.

6:49 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was all over the road on Bancroft Avenue, and almost called a crash. 

7:02 p.m.: A caller on Simmons Drive reported her children had money missing from the home. She noticed it was missing the previous day.

7:53 p.m.: A caller at Friendly's reported a child was left alone in a vehicle. Police checked and the child was OK.

9:09 p.m.: A caller said two groups of youths were making threats toward one another as they were walking down the street. Four left on foot toward Milford Town Park. Three headed toward the high school. 

11:55 p.m.: A caller said several people were smashing bottles and causing a disturbance in the park near the Portuguese Club.

Saturday, May 11

12:24 a.m.: A caller said five or six people were partying on Water Street, and being loud.

12:33 a.m.: Uxbridge Police reported a car had driven off the road at Rolling Green Drive, and was hanging over a ledge over a body of water. The driver ran from the car. Police could not locate the driver.

3:19 a.m.: A car was reported to be on fire behind the Citgo on Main Street. Firefighters reported no fire, but said the radiator of the vehicle had triggered the alarm in the building. 

4:44 a.m.: A caller on Water Street said he could hear noises coming from upstairs, and it sounds like his brother is dropping things on the floor.

7:47 a.m.: A man said he responded to an employment ad on Craigslist by going to an apartment on Spring Street, and it appeared to be a hoax.

8:03 a.m.: A man asked police for advice as to how to contact his children who are now in state custody.

9:16 a.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said two shots were fired behind the building. A truck was in the woods, too. Police reported the shooting party had the appropriate license for turkey hunting.

12:22 p.m.: A caller on Water Street said a fish salesman was causing a disturbance with his car horn.

1:02 p.m.: A caller on West Street said an elderly man was parked facing the wrong side of the road, and asked an officer to check his well-being.

2:29 p.m.: A woman said she was being threatened by another woman, over a dog bite incident that happened in the past.

6:07 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to an officer about a dispute between his 17-year-old son and the owners of Etched in Flesh tattoos. He said his son was not old enough to get a tattoo, and the shop owners were refusing to return the deposit. Police spoke to everyone, and reported that they all reached an agreement to give back half of the deposit, for drawing the tattoo.

6:16 p.m.: A caller heard five to seven loud noises on Country Club Lane, possibly gun shots. Police checked and everything was OK.

6:22 p.m.: A caller asked police to respond to Redwood Drive, where a strange man was in a green Tercel.

9:18 p.m.: A caller reported five to six youths were running through neighbors' backyards on University Drive.

9:24 p.m.: Hopkinton Police asked for Milford assistance in picking up a woman who they said had assaulted someone. Police could not locate the woman.

10:55 p.m.: An intoxicated man wearing a hat had fallen down in traffic on Central Street, near Casa Nova. Police checked the area but were not able to find him.

11:24 p.m.: A caller on Rolling Green Drive reported a loud party. Police advised the people involved to quiet down.

Sunday, May 12

12:45 a.m.: A loud party was reported on Main Street. Police spoke to the people involved.

1:29 a.m.: A caller said loud music was coming from cars leaving the Portuguese Club. Police restored peace.

1:32 a.m.: A 39-year-old was taken into protective custody, after getting involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, then heading out into the yard.

1:33 a.m.: A woman reported a group of people was smashing windows at an apartment on Genoa Avenue. The people then left in an SUV. Police pulled the vehicle over and determined the woman was trying to get into her locked house. She would be going to her boyfriend's for the night.

1:35 a.m.: A caller said a shed near the pool at Oakridge Village Apartments had the door open, and two men were inside the building. Police responded. The building was checked and secured.
