Police Log: Man Arrested Following Disturbance at RMV
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, May 9
4:46 p.m.: A caller reported the front door of the state Registry of Motor Vehicles had been struck by a vehicle. Police determined a vehicle was not involved, but arrested Joseph Leo Iodice, 27, of 48 Wood St., Framingham, on a charge of wanton destruction of property, more than $250.
5:13 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Cedar at East Main streets, police arrested Valmir A. Fernandes Jr., 35, of 10 Dell Ann Cir., Milford, on charges of failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. His Ford F-350 was towed.

6:30 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Rolling Green Drive, where oil on the stove had caught fire. The fire was out when firefighter arrived, but the apartment full of smoke.
6:37 p.m.: A man in the police station lobby reported someone had gone to his workplace and made threats toward him.

8:49 p.m.: A caller reported hearing gun shots for the past half hour on Pinewood Road. She was told it was police officer training.
8:54 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Park at Congress streets, police arrested Segundo Manuel Chuqui-Yunga, 26, of 83 School St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
9:49 p.m.: A caller told police her roomate was at her house, banging on the door, and he was not wanted there. Police responded but the roomate was gone.
10:17 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Depot Street, police arrested John Edward Hilditch, 24, of 72 Water St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a warrant.
11:04 p.m.: Police took a 29-year-old into protective custody on West Street.
11:08 p.m.: A caller on Purchase Street said a man on the third floor threw his girlfriend down the stairs, and they were now yelling and arguing. The woman said she was not hurt and had left the area.
Friday, May 10
4:03 a.m.: A caller said he saw a man in a boat beating something with a stick. Police spoke with the caller, and determined that the man was on a small island in the middle of Lake Louisa, and it appeared to have someone camping on it. Police reported they had no way to access the island.
4:35 a.m.: A caller reported hearing noises from the basement on Jefferson Street. Police determined it was an air conditioning condenser.
6:37 a.m.: A caller near the Crystal Room on Cedar Street said machinery was running at the location, creating a noise problem.
8:06 a.m.: After receiving a report of a restraining order violation, police arrested Jason M. Demars, 29, of 1 Reade St., Apt. 3, Milford, on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order.
8:32 a.m.: A 29-year-old man who threw out his back at the National Guard Armory on Maple Street was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
11:55 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report she had lost her 76-year-old grandmother. She left her grandmother at the Milford Town Library and walked to Tedeschi's Market to grab something. When she returned to the library, her grandmother was gone. Police later found the woman at home on Claudette Drive.
2:41 p.m.: A caller said his brother had taken away his camera, on Water Street, because he was recording his brother's illegal activities.
3:18 p.m.: A woman said she had just been harassed by an elderly man walking down Forest Street. He had on glasses a T-shirt and jeans.
3:42 p.m.: A woman said her cell phone had been stolen by a family member.
