Police Log: Soil Sampling Raises Suspicion, Stolen Generator
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, June 4
1:36 p.m.: An officer reported seeing a motor vehicle off the road on Medway Road at Messina Drive. No one was injured.
4:01 p.m.: A caller on Colonial Drive said a man who she used to live with had come into her apartment and was now yelling at her. Police filed a report.

5:17 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report a $1,600 generator had been stolen from her boyfriend's vehicle on Pheasant Circle that morning. Police filed a report.
6:47 p.m.: An officer reported he was assisting a woman who had called to report she was taking her 2.5-year-old son to Milford Regional Medical Center in her car. The child had fallen four feet from a swing set. The officer reported the child never lost consciousness.

7:04 p.m.: A woman walked into police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about a domestic situation going on at her house. Officers helped her remove her belongings from the house. Police are seeking a summons to charge Sean Webber, 31, of 45 W. Walnut St., Milford, with expiration of a firearm identification and failure to notify proper authority of a change of address.
7:44 p.m.: A caller at Charlie's Express Pizza reported three parking violations. Police responded and issued tickets to a white Honda SUV, a grey Ford pickup and a white Volkswagen.
8:01 p.m.: An officer said he was removing a group of youths from the front steps of Memorial Hall.
8:08 p.m.: A caller said her car was struck on Purdue Drive and the rear fender damaged. The other driver took off.
8:42 p.m.: A caller on Woodridge Road said construction equipment was on his front yard and he had not given permission to have it placed there.
8:50 p.m.: A man reported a fraudulent check. Police determined no fraudulent activity had occurred, but someone was trying to pull a scam on Craigslist. The man was advised.
8:51 p.m.: A caller on West Fountain Street said she heard a possible fight. Police found loud talking, no other issues.
10:20 p.m.: A man on Beaver Street flagged down an officer and asked him to check on the welfare of a man who was staggering. An officer reported the man was not intoxicated, but had had surgery and walks with a stagger.
Wednesday, June 5
11:45 a.m.: An 84-year-old man on Glines Avenue was taken to the hospital, after being dehydrated by being out in the sun too long.
1:20 p.m.: A police sergeant investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Clark Island. He determined it was someone taking soil samples on behalf of the town.
1:55 p.m.: A woman reported a small red car pulled into her driveway on Lantern Lane, and while she was speaking with the man, a woman went to her back door and tried to open it. Police filed a report.
2:45 p.m.: Officers responded to Kennedy Lane to possibly recover a stolen phone. Police reported the stolen property was located and will be returned to Middle School East.
3:18 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to speak to an officer about a custody dispute.
