Police Log: Third Grader Waiting for Ride, Intoxicated People

Sunday, May 12
4:12 p.m.: A caller reported the music was loud at the neighbor's house, on East Main Street.
5:23 p.m.: A caller said he spotted an unwanted person in the housing complex on Birmingham Court. He was told if he spotted him, to call police.

7:18 p.m.: Police responded to Milford Mandarin Restaurant, where a woman was reported to be intoxicated. She was gone when officers arrived.
7:19 p.m.: Police received a call from an intoxicated man, asking that his house guest be removed. Police took a 49-year-old man into protective custody.

7:24 p.m.: A caller reported loud music was coming from an apartment on North Bow Street.
7:37 p.m.: Police  responded to Mystic Lane. Police arrested Gabriela Castro, 25, of 4A Mystic Ln., Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
7:45 p.m.: A caller said five youths were pushing a trailer in the visitor's parking lot on Colonial Road. The youths were gone when police arrived.
9:03 p.m.: A caller on Central Street said he heard multiple gunshots going off. Police responded and located evidence of fireworks on Silva Street. He spoke to the youths who were over there.
9:21 p.m.: A man said his brother was intoxicated, causing a disturbance and upsetting his 93-year-old mother. Police were asked to remove him. Police responded and the man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
Monday, May 13
1:31 a.m.: A caller reported finding a dead skunk in her yard on Congress Street. Police left a message for the animal control officer.
7:02 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Dilla Street, police arrested Carlos Roberto Desousa, 42, of 27 S. Bow St., Apt. 1, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and a warrant.
7:13 a.m.: A caller said he thought he saw a dog on the side of the road. Police found a large beaver in the road, on Cedar Street, and contacted Hopkinton animal control to take the animal.
8:35 a.m.: A 27-year-old man was having a seizure at Dunkin Donuts on South Main Street. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
9:26 a.m.: An 84-year-old man fell in the parking lot of and suffered a head injury. He was taken to the hospital.
12:51 p.m.: A brush fire was reported behind the Milford Water Company property on Dilla Street.
1:26 p.m.: A large brush fire was reported in the Vietnam Trails section off Cedar Street. Hopkinton, Holliston and Hopedale responded to assist.
1:38 p.m.: A caller from Rite Aid on Meday Road said a shoplifter had just left the store, but left his girlfriend behind. Police responded, and later requested an ambulance for a mental health evaluation of an individual.
2:06 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report he had lost a wallet with $500 in cash inside in the area of McDonald's and Honey Dew Donuts on South Main Street.
3:12 p.m.: A caller from Woodland Elementary School said they had a third grader and no one to pick her up. Police made contact with a babysitter, who said someone would be by shortly.
5:07 p.m.: A man on Hayward Street said someone had attempted to break into his home through the window. A responding officer said he found no evidence of a breaking and entering. Eyewitnesses said they saw three males running from the scene with a black backpack. Police spoke to everyone and determined the man's son had tried to gain entry and made up the story after breaking the window.
6:39 p.m.: Imperial Buffet reported a white man in a grey Nissan Maxima had left without paying for $22 in food.
10:45 p.m.: A man called police and said two teens wearing dark clothing were hanging around in front of his house on Court Street.
11:28 p.m.: Neighbors complained that their neighbors were making noise on Lawrence Street.
