Police Log: Wallet Found in Broken-Into Vehicle

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 2

At 5:32 a.m., Milford police received a report from a man who said he found a wallet in his car, and that he did not recognize it or know how it got into his vehicle. The man reported that it looked as though someone had entered the vehicle, though nothing appeared to be missing.

At 9:28 a.m, police received a report of a two-car accident that occurred in the area of Main and Prospect street.

At 10:41 a.m., a caller reported an erratic driver in the area of Purchase Street.

At 12:02 p.m., a caller reported a truck parked in the area of S. Bow Street and Main Street had been causing a traffic hazard.

At 12:31 p.m., the owner of the Village Laundromat on Main Street reported to police he suspected an employee had been stealing from him.

At 3:32 p.m., a caller reported low-hanging wires in the area of Ivy Lane.

At 4:48 p.m., police responded to Reade Street, where they arrested Benjamin Cruz, III, 24, of Milford, on a warrant.

At 6:24 p.m., a caller reported that while her daughters were playing outside, she saw her neighbor allegedly urinating in his yard, exposing himself. Officers issued a criminal summons to the neighbor, a 48-year-old Milford man, for indecent exposure.

At 7:39 p.m., police responded to a report of an accident in the area of West and High streets involving a car and a motorcycle with injuries reported.
