Springfield Man Arrested After Pursuit In Milford: Police

MILFORD, MA — A Springfield man is facing a raft of charges — including assaulting a police officer — after an incident at the Comfort Inn last week.

According to Milford police, officers went to the hotel along Beaver Street early Friday morning and were checking vehicle license plates. One plate returned an active warrant for the registered owner, who was inside.

When police began talking to the man, he ran off, police said. Police arrested him on charges of resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and the active warrant.
