Superbowl Rally, Newport Trip, Book Club: Milford Senior Center

MILFORD, MA—From parties to trips to group meetings to lunch and clinics, there's a lot going on at the Milford Senior Center.

Per the center, this is what's happening in the coming weeks.

Special Events:

Superbowl Pep Rally – Wear your Patriots Shirt: Friday, February 2, 2018 @ 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Turkey Pot Pie, Chips & Salsa, and desserts will be served. Entertainment by DJ Ronnie Auger. Tickets are $5.

Valentines Tea: Tuesday, February 13, 2018 @ 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Tea, Finger Sandwiches and mini pastries prepared by the Blackstone Valley Technical High School. Entertainment provided by the Milford High School String Quartet. Be sure to bring your teacups and wear your finest hat! Tickets are $5.

Book Club: Tuesday, February 20, 2018 @ 10:00 a.m. – “The Woman in Cabin 10” by Ruth Ware. A journalist, who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. As the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. Trips:

Newport Place House & Cabaret Restaurant: Thursday, April 5, 2018. Tickets $89.00. Depart Center 9:00 a.m. Buffet luncheon at the Cabaret restaurant; Following lunch, the group will walk to the theatre for the show "Exit Laughing." Following the show, you will be escorted back to the restaurant for coffee & dessert and a cabaret show. Arrival back to the center at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Maine's Bull & Claw Lobster Bake: Thursday, May 31, 2018. Tickets: $84.00. Depart Center 8:30 a.m. Following you arrival in Wells, Maine, you will enjoy a lobster feast at the Bull & Claw Restaurant; chowder, mussels, maine clams, salad, bread & rolls. Entree choices of lobster, prime rib or cranberry stuffed chicken. Dessert of hot blueberry crisp with vanilla ice cream. Depart Wells and visit scenic Ogunquit then travel on to Kittery where you will visit "Where Pigs Fly Bakery" for some shopping. Arrival back at the center at approximately 6:30 p.m

Spirit of Boston: Boston Harbor Cruise & Luncheon: Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Tickets: $84.00 Depart center at 8:30 a.m. You will travel along the Boston Common and then board the Spirit of Boston for a 2 hour narrated tour and a buffet luncheon of Roast Salmon, Tilapia, Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Baked Ziti, including Salad, Vegetables and desserts or Roast Broccoli. Following the cruise, you will then travel to the North End for some shopping. Return to center approx. 5:30 p.m.

Milford Senior Center Walkers: Come and join our walking club. We meet Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. at the Center to walk the Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail. Indoor walking at the Youth Center begins December 5, 2018, Tuesday’s & Thursday’s 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
