WATCH: Superintendent Talks Strategic Plan, Inclusive Environment

"An inclusive environment is so important for ensuring that all students are welcome and supported."

MILFORD, MA—This year, Milford Public Schools is beginning a new strategic plan that focuses on four core areas: social emotional learning, growth focused instruction, continuous learning and equity and access.

Dr. Kevin McIntyre, superintendent of the Milford Public Schools, focused his monthly report on this strategic plan, particularly zoning in explaining the importance of equity and access.

"An inclusive environment is so important for ensuring that all students are welcome and supported," said McIntyre in his report. "Inclusion is a word that is bantered about a lot in education and can mean different things to different people. My view is that inclusion needs to be an important part of what we all do as educators...it is a mindset and culture."
