Weekend Planner: Tax-Free Shopping, Harry Potter, Motorcycle Ride to follow Boston Marathon

1. It's tax-free weekend, so spend away and save at minimum 6.25 percent, though many stores are offering other incentives.

2. Music & Arts is celebrating the weekend with a two-day sale. The event will take place on the sidewalk in front of the store on Main Street, and in the back lot.

3. Performances of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, August 8 and 7:30 PM on Friday, August 9, at the Milford Performing Arts Center studio, 150 Main Street.  All tickets $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.

4. An inaugural motorcycle ride, following the course of the Boston Marathon, will raise funds Sunday for Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund. It steps off at 9 a.m. Sunday in Hopkinton.

5. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Gold's Gym, in the Stop & Shop Plaza.
