UPDATED: Cemetery Robbery Not Random

Thieves took cellphones and cash during a robbery in the Dell Park cemetery on Saturday.

Correction June 10 3:23 p.m.:

Natick Police said this afternoon there have been no arrests in in conjunction with the robbery. Early scanner reports erroneously said arrests were made, when in fact, police near Boston had simply pulled over a vehicle based on the initial description.

After the completion of a funeral service at Dell Park Cemetery, four cars encircled a vehicle containing five victims who handed over cash, cellphones and identification to the thieves, according to Lt. Brian Grassey from the 

"Investigation to this point has led us to believe that this robbery was an attempt to recover information associated with a murder that occurred in New York City in the recent past. There were no shots fired and nobody was injured during the course of the robbery," Grassey said.

Thieves  allegedly "showed guns" to a victim before stealing his cellphone around 3 p.m. on Saturday, a scanner report said.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Ford Escape.
