Natick School Committee Sued Over Free Speech Policy
The plaintiffs, parents of Natick students, filed a lawsuit with Middlesex Superior Court.

NATICK, MAβThe Natick School Committee is facing a lawsuit over its "Public Speak" policy, filed by two parents who had children in the Natick public schools, according to reports.
Corey Spaulding and Karin Sutter sued the School Committee in Middlesex Superior on April 18, arguing that the public speak policy limits free speech, reports MetroWest Daily News.
Interim Superintendent Anna Nolin told MetroWest Daily news that the policy is standard.

"At this time, we are unable to comment on pending litigation," Nolin told Patch. "However, we are a learning organization, and we will learn from this situation in the coming weeks."
The plaintiffs are represented by a law firm and the American Civil Liberties Union, and the next hearing is May 2.
