Orange Leaf Grand Opening Kicks Off Flutie Foundation Fundraiser
The frozen yogurt shop will pledge 15 percent of sales to the non-profit organization on Oct. 22.
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt in Natick held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 16 to celebrate its grand opening.
The ceremony also kicked off its fundraising efforts for the Flutie Foundation.
The frozen yogurt shop will pledge 15 percent of sales to the non-profit organization during an in-store fundraiser from 4-10 p.m. on Oct. 22.
On Oct. 20, the 14th annual Eastern Bank Flutie 5K will take place in downtown Natick. Orange Leaf will serve free frozen yogurt that day at the race, which raises money to help local families who need assistance in caring for the children with autism.
“Orange Leaf has a long tradition of getting involved with local causes, and the Flutie Foundation is an incredible organization that we’re thrilled to support, especially in Doug Flutie’s hometown,” said Gerry Pelissier, co-owner of the Orange Leaf Natick location.
As part of the grand opening, customers received free frozen yogurt from 6-11 p.m.“We’re thrilled to celebrate joining the Natick community,” Pelissier said.
