Park To Be Named After Natick Boy Who Died Of Cancer

Connor Heffler died at age 11. Now, a park will be named after the enthusiastic, beloved Natick boy.

NATICK, MA—A park near the East School in Natick will bear the name of a local boy who died last year of cancer at age 11.

The beloved Connor Heffler's name will grace the park that is undergoing renovations, and was approved by the Board of Selectmen this week, reports WickedLocal Natick.

Heffler died from complications of a spinal tumor he was diagnosed with in 2015. Blue and orange ribbons that were posted around town honored the young boy, whose parents are Natick Police Officer Elizabeth Heffler and his dad Steve is an electrician with the Department of Public Works.
