How police helped (metrowestdailynews.com) — Natick Police helped a local woman recover nearly $92,000 after she was tricked by scammers posing as Microsoft support and persuaded to move her savings into a bogus “encrypted” account. A bank teller’s dating error on the cashier’s check bought time for detectives to freeze the funds. Police now urge residents to learn common scam tactics and be wary of alarming pop-ups.
