POLL: Should the Boy Scouts Allow Gays to be Members?

The Boy Scouts of America confirmed their ban on gays members.

The Boy Scouts of America reaffirmed their stance banning gays from their organization today, angering protesters who relentlessly fought to change the policy, according to boston.com

"The Scouts cited support from parents as a key reason for keeping the policy and expressed hope that the prolonged debate over it might now subside," the Boston.com article said.

‘‘With the country moving toward inclusion, the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America have instead sent a message to young people that only some of them are valued,’’ Chad Griffin of the Human Rights Campaign said. ‘‘They've chosen to teach division and intolerance.’’
