Shrek Rave, Lucius at House Of Blues: MA Weekend Events

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

This Friday night why not lean into your childhood while mixing it with your adult life? Sound interesting? Well then the Shrek Rave at Big Night Live might just be the thing for you. If raving isn't your thing, the indie band Lucius has a show at House of Blues.

On Saturday, the beloved Boston venue Roadrunner is hosting its first annual Prom Night.

Among the activities will be a photo experience by Brittany Rose Queen and prizes will be awarded for best dressed, best dancers, and, of course, the king and queen of the evening. The Glitter Boys will get the party started and the 11-piece disco funk outfit Booty Vortex will keep it going throughout the night.
