5 Things You Need to Know: The Center Opens House, History, a Trunk Show and more

Five things to know today for Needham and Wellesley on May 21, 2013.

 

1. There may be some patches of fog before noon, the National Weather Service tells us, but there could also be some scattered showers in the evening--about a 40 percent chance. Temperatures expected between 72ºF and 55ºF. 

2. The Transitions center at the Presbyterian Church in Needham is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, with resources available to job searchers. 3. Silpada Designs is having a Jewelry Trunk Show at Beauty and Main in Wellesley today. If you want to see yourself in some of their sterling silver stylings, then perhaps that's the place to be any time between noon and 2 p.m.

4. The Congregational Church is hosting an Open House at The Center, a drop-in, independent place for teens to get some homework done and hang out with friends. Want to know more? Then you should stop by between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. They will have a couple more open houses in June.

5. "Lincoln Letters" author and historian William Martin is kicking off the Waterstone author series. Stop by Waterstone at Wellesley at 7:30 p.m. to learn a bit more about his book. Call 781-235-1614 to RSVP.
