Chase On To Rt. 128, Taxi Fare Evasion: Needham Police Log

March 28

2:15 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of a suspicious person at a 1st Avenue business. The office manager informed police that there was a man walking around the office area taking notes and photos with his cell phone. The manager said this person told her that he was measuring a baseboard. No work had been scheduled and the man left through the stairwell when confronted.

9:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a First Avenue business for a report of a possible larceny. Police were unable to establish if any larceny occurred.

A resident of Guild Road reported a diamond ring missing from her house. Needham Police are investigating.

March 30

10:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Reservoir Street business for a possible larceny. The matter is under investigation.

March 31

2:40 a.m. - Officers responded to an alarm call at a Highland Avenue business. The business had been broken into. An officer located the suspects and pursued them onto Route 128 North into another jurisdiction before losing them. The matter is currently under investigation.

10:00 a.m. - Officers responded to a Highland Avenue business for a report of a past disturbance between two employees. Two men had an argument that escalated into a physical disturbance. The parties were separated and calm. Management sent both parties home without issue. Neither party requested medical attention.

April 1

3:24 a.m. - An officer responded to a Beaufort Street address for a report of an attempted taxi fare evasion. The driver and passenger of the taxi were able to come to an arrangement. The fare was settled and both parties left the scene without further incident.

9:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of fraud at a Chambers Street residence. The incident was documented and the victim was advised to cancel the account.
