Letter to the Editor: Two Selectmen Support Elizabeth Grimes

Two of Needham's Selectmen write in their support of Elizabeth Grimes, Planning Board candidate.

Dear Editor:

We are writing in support of Elizabeth Grimes for Planning Board with whom we serve on the Council of Economic Advisors (CEA).  Liz is a productive and thoughtful member of the CEA and has been instrumental in some of our most important initiatives including the rezoning and rebranding of Needham Crossing that has already provided a positive impact to Needham.

Liz is smart, thoughtful, and takes an analytical approach to developing desired economic growth strategies to benefit Needham and help relieve our residential tax burden.  Much of the work of the CEA involves the Town’s approval and regulatory processes and Liz's experience in these areas will be instrumental on the Planning Board.

Liz will bring this same pragmatic and measured approach to our Planning Board and she will listen carefully to the concerns of both our residential and business communities. Her balanced temperament will be an asset on the Planning Board.

Liz understands that the quality of life in Needham requires a balance of economic value and preservation of good neighborhoods in our town and we urge you to join us in our support of Elizabeth Grimes for the Planning Board.
