Needham High School Recognized for Excellence in Athletics
The Rockets earned The Boston Globe's Ames Award for achieving the highest winning percentage in Division 2 sports.

Needham High School was awarded The Boston Globe’s Ames Award, which honors excellence in athletic achievement.
In 2014-2015, the Rockets earned the highest winning percentage in the Ames Division 2 athletic conference, which included North Andover, Concord-Carlisle and Beverly, among dozens of other schools.
The Rockets finished the fall, winter and spring seasons with an overall winning percentage of 68.59. All sports teams, boys and girls combined, finished with a 258-113-19 record on the year.

Here’s a look at the school’s records by season:
- Fall season: 91-31-10
- Winter season: 66-44-9
- Spring season: 101-38-0
The Rockets will look to retain the honors in 2015-2016 when school opens on September 2.
