The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Needham High School students placed among the best in Massachusetts. The town ranks 25th among 291 school districts with 95% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient or advanced on the annual standardized test.Needham ranked 20th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 99% of students earned either proficient or advanced.The town ranked 23rd in the state for the Math portion of the test. 94% of students earned either proficient or advanced.And finally, Needham ranked 28th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 92% of students earned either proficient or advanced.Between the three sections, just 12% of students earned a "needs improvement" grade. Only 4% scored within the "warning/failing" area.
