“I enjoy helping people, it’s a noble, rewarding career,” Droney said in a statement.
For Droney, his role as a detective was his favorite. It allowed him to work with a lot of departments and organizations like the District Attorney’s office.
Upon becoming chief, Droney continued that effort to build relationships inside and outside of Needham.
“To make the town run right, it’s a collaboration,” Drony said.
The ability to develop relationships is Droney’s hallmark according to Town Manager Kate Fitzpatrick.
“He has a tremendous leadership presence and has earned the respect of the town department heads,” she said.
