Needham Resident Expands Her Babysitting Service to Nantucket

Needham resident Carole Arsenault-Kramer has just extended her Boston Baby Nurse business across the ocean to Nantucket, offering a sitter service for vacationers, with Nantucket Baby Equipment Rental. 

Boston Baby Nurse and Nantucket Baby have partnered in this exciting endeavor, offering professionally trained sitters for vacationers who wish to have a date night or assistance with little ones on the beach. 

Both Carole Kramer-Arsenault and Amanda Ciarmataro operate their own thriving businesses -- businesses that wonderfully complement each other.

Boston Baby Nurse enjoys a renowned reputation of excellence in the field of baby nurses and nannies, as well as running an elite training program for new baby nurses called Boston Baby Nurse’s comprehensive Newborn Care Specialist Training Program. All sitters will be trained using this program that provides the highest level and quality in baby care education and was designed in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations and policies.

Nantucket Baby is the island’s premier resource for top-of-the-line rented baby and beach equipment for beach, sleep, activities and more. Amanda also offers a grocery service. 

How did these two smart businesswomen meet? Amanda was once a Boston Baby Nurse!

They’re also fond of Nantucket -- Amanda grew up on Nantucket and now raises her own family there, and Carole spent summers on the island as a girl and now brings her family to vacation there, too.

All sitters undergo a rigorous background check and at least 3-5 references will be needed per sitter. Once sitters pass the qualification process, they are trained using the Boston Baby Nurse Training Program that was developed by Carole, a former Labor & Delivery RN, and a Boston pediatrician who is affiliated with Children’s Hospital.

Once a sitter has been placed, Carole and Amanda will send a picture of the sitter to the client and will include a brief bio and some fun facts to help prepare the children.
