Needham Town Election: Polling Places, Hours

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NEEDHAM, MA — Needham's delayed Annual Town Election is being held on Tuesday and those who didn't vote by mail or cast an early ballot can still hit the polls, with some new social distancing restrictions.

While physical polling places will be open for all precincts, voters should expect to see plenty of masks, and use their own while voting. Social distancing at the booths and while waiting will also be a requirement to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus.

Polls in Needham will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Polling Locations

There are five polling places for the ten precincts in town. The polling places are as follows:

Precincts A & B – Center at the Heights, 300 Hillside Ave.
Precincts C & D – Newman Elementary School, 1155 Central Ave.
Precincts E & H – Public Service Administration Building, 500 Dedham Ave.
Precincts F & G – Rosemary Complex, 178 Rosemary St.
Precincts I & J – Town Hall, 1471 Highland Ave.

What's On The Ballot?

While several Town Meeting Member seats are up for grabs on this year's ballot, a number of government positions are also open including selectmen seats, school committee and board of health.

Here's the list:

  • Two Members of the Select Board for Three Years
  • One Assessor for Three Years
  • Two Members of School Committee for Three Years
  • One Trustee of Memorial Park (trustee of soldiers’ memorials – Veteran) for Three Years
  • Three Trustees of Needham Public Library for Three Years
  • One Trustee of Needham Public Library for One year
  • One Member of Board of Health for Three Years
  • One Member of Planning Board for Five Years
  • One Member of Planning Board for Three Years
  • One Member of Needham Housing Authority for Five Years
  • One Member of Needham Housing Authority for Four Years
  • One Commissioner of Trust Funds for Three Years
  • One Member of Park and Recreation Commission for Three Years
  • Two Constables for Three Years.
