Olympian Aly Raisman To Be Inducted into Jewish Sports Hall of Fame
The Needham native, who got her gymnastics start in Newton, will be inducted into the hall of fame this April.

The Olympic gold medalist, , will be inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in April 2013, Boston.com reported this afternoon.

The National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, which is located in Commack, NY, honors distinguished Jewish athletes as a way "to foster Jewish identity through athletics", according to the organization's website.
As a member of the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, Raisman will get a "locker" in the museum filled memorabilia, awards and photos, Boston.com reported. The ceremony will be held April 13, 2013.

Raisman earned gold medals in the women's gymnastics all-around team competition and the individual floor exercise routine. She also took home a bronze medal in the individual balance beam competition.
