Selectmen Team Spells Win at Needham Spelling Bee

Needham Spelling Bee teams spell a win at the annual Needham Education Foundation's spelling bee.

 

The term "neossology," the study of young birds spelled a win for one team at the Needham Education Foundation's Spelling Bee last week.

The winning team represented the Needham Board of Selectmen, made up of Selectmen John Bulian and Dan Matthews and Lindsey Kiser.

This year's is the 22nd annual bee, and it features a collection of celebrity word pronouncers: Partner at Last Minute Productions Gary Gillis, Olin College President Richard Miller, and Lowell Spinners Announcer Mike Riley.

Special attractions include complimentary refreshments and a commemorative NEF Bee Cupcake available for purchase from Treat Cupcake Bar. Newly designed hats and T-shirts featuring the NEF Bee will also be available for purchase.
