4. Event highlight

Learn how to cultivate the quality of “mindfulness”—being right here in the moment, with a sense of peace and calm—and how it is enhanced by Jewish meditation practices in a series of eight one-hour classes at Temple Aliyah. Mindfulness has been shown to help reduce stress, manage intense feelings, and diminish the suffering that goes with chronic physical or emotional pain. Classes meet Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. beginning January 8 at the Temple. Cost is $25 for Temple members and $36 for nonmembers. For more information or to enroll contact Naomi Litrownik, LICSW, at naomi.litrownikmsw@gmail.com or 781-449-9822. To enroll, send check made payable to Temple Aliyah, 1664 Central Ave., Needham, MA 02492, Attention: Naomi Litrownik.
