• Orange Line extension to Roslindale attracting attention (wcvb.com) — Needham riders who rely on the MBTA’s Needham Line could eventually see those tracks converted to Orange Line service, as state lawmakers advance a feasibility study on extending rapid transit from Forest Hills to Roslindale and West Roxbury. Advocates say upgrading the Needham Line corridor for subway trains could mean far more frequent, lower-cost service using existing right of way, with a detailed MassDOT report due in 2026.
