2 Alarm Fire In Newton Rips Through Basement
Firefighters were called to a home on Vaughn Avenue Thursday night for a fire.

NEWTON, MA — No one was injured during a two alarm fire in a Newton home Thursday night, according to firefighters.
Officials said the fire started and stayed in the basement.
A spokesperson for the Newton Fire Department said one elderly man was displaced, but not injured. It's not yet clear what started the fire or the extent of the damages.
