5 Things: Cheesecake Day, Guacamole Band, RSVP Reminder
A few things you need to know in Newton for Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

1. First things first: It's National Cheesecake Day! Cheesecake Factory celebrates this day by offering customers half-price slices all day. So head to Cheesecake Factory in Chestnut Hill; it's a holiday, after all.
2. It's a Rollie Pollie Guacamole kind of day, right? The "kindie" band with an "eat healthy, live healthy" message will take to the Newton Centre Green Tuesday at 1 p.m. for a free performance.
3. The Suzuki School of Newton is holding a parent info session Tuesday evening at 7:30. The session will be held at the school's new location, Temple Reyim (1860 Washington St. in Auburndale).
4. ICYMI. Dunn-Geherin's has ventured into to bicycle delivery. Check out the latest "Dispatch from Upper Falls" for details.
5. If you want to join Newton Mayor Setti Warren and Pan-Mass Challenge Founder Billy Starr at the second annual Pan-Mass Challenge Newton Reception, you need to RSVP by July 30 to agonzalez@newtonma.gov. The reception will take place July 31 from 7 p.m-9 p.m. at Terry O'Reilly's in Newton Centre.
