Children's musical, coping with the teenage brain, a haircut with a good deed.

1. Parenting a Teen Talk. Parenting expert Joani Geltman will be at Newton North today at 7 p.m.She'll offer an informative (and entertaining) outlook on the teenage brain as well as a dicussion on setting limits, strategies for communication and more.
2. "Oh, Jonah." United Parish of Auburndale will present its children's musical "Oh, Jonah!" More than 20 local second through sixth graders will bring this musical to life. Admission is free and refreshments will be served after the performance.
3. Good Deed Haircut. The Supercuts locations throughout the area, including those in Newton, are joining other salons in donating a portion of sales today to a mother and daughter injured in the marathon bombings. Get a haircut, do a good deed.

4. Drop-In Playgroups. Nahanton Park in Newton Center is the place for drop-in playgroups on Monday mornings for moms, dads, grandparents, nannies and, of course, toddlers. Adults are $3 and children are free.
