5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 12
Hotdog roast, household hazardous waste reminder, Diva's Evening and more.

1. Who doesn't love a good hotdog? The senior high youth group at Second Church is cooking up hotdogs today beginning at 5 p.m. and will be selling them to raise funds for the group's mission trip to Ohio. The roast will take place in the church's fellowship hall in the case of rain.
2. Household hazardous waste drop-off continues today and each Wednesday until June 26 at the Resource Recovery Center at Rumford Avenue. Check out the list of hazardous waste items that can be dropped off from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today.
3. Time for another evening walk, this one through Hammond Woods West. Meet at 98 Maddock St., at 6:45 p.m. Thunderstorms or heavy rain cancel the walk.
