5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 14

Artists wanted, classical music, electronics drop-off and more.

1. Classical music is coming to the Newton Senior Center today. Pianist Kirstine Song will play a variety of pieces from Bach to Mozart.

2. Local artists are invited to apply for display space at this year's Celebrate Newton Crafts Fair on Dec. 8 at Newton South High School. Space is limited.

3. A Weekend Show (Saturday) at First Baptist Church of Newton will feature recording artist Dar Williams. Here's more information about the show and purchasing tickets.

4. A special electronics drop-off is going on today and tomorrow at the Rumford Avenue  Recycling Center. These events are held on one Friday and Saturday each month and this weekend is it. Drop off is from 8 a.m. to noon both days and there are some fees. Check out the City of Newton page for details.
