
1. So, there's something new going on here. As you no doubt noticed, Newton Patch has an all new look this morning. We'll be tweaking and continuing to work through the transition in the coming days, but we will absolutely still be bringing you the news and info you expect. Poke around on the site and check out the new functionality and sections.
2. The first of three Tower Bell Concerts of the summer takes place tonight at the First Unitarian Society of Newton. Concert goers can bring blankets or lawn chairs and picnic on the lawn during the concert or, in the case of rain, seating will be provided inside. The concerts are free.
3. There's a Solarize Newton Solar Workshop tonight at Newton City Hall. The 7 p.m. workshop will introduce attendees to the Solarize program as well as the "nuts and bolts of solar panel installation."
4. Wondering what's going on at the Austin Street Lot in Newtonville. There's a community meeting at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the project. The meeting will take place at the Newton Senior Center.
5. The Newton-Needham Chamber networking event known as "Business After Hours" will take place today at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel in Auburndale. The entry fee is $10.
