1. Blood Drive. If you're old enough and willing, the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
2. Indoor Farmers' Market. The Newton Indoor Farmers' Market continues this week at the Hyde Community Center from 1:30 p.m.-6 p.m.
3. Land Use Committee. This group is scheduled to meet today at 7:45 p.m. Theagenda includes discussion of special permits for the development at Riverside in Auburndale.

4. Newton Highlands Update. The Newton Highlands Community Meeting will take place tonight at the Women's Club (72 Columbus St.) at 7:30 p.m. Come hear an update on projects affecting Newton Highlands. The agenda includes lane construction on routes 9 and 128, Crystal Lake water quality and more.
5. The Newton Free Library will host a film preview of "No Equal: The Trials of America's Female Soldier," tonight at 7 p.m. "The film explores the various roles of women in the military, examining how their responsibilities have evolved and changed over time." The preview will be followed by a moderated panel discussion.
