BC Welcomes New Live Mascot - See it Before Friday's Game
The eagle will be at the Fan Fest held before the game.

The Boston College football family has a new member – a live eagle mascot.
The eagle, which will be named in a social media contest, will be at every Boston College home football game.
The bird comes from Zoo New England and will be available for photos during the pre-game Fan Fest in the Flynn Recreation Complex, across from the stadium, according to a story on BCEagles.com. The Fan Fest runs from 2 hours prior to game time to 15 minutes before kickoff.

BC had a live mascot from 1961 to 1966, but not in the last 47 years.
The next Boston College home game is Friday night at 8 p.m. against Wake Forest. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
