The Boston College football family has a new member – a live eagle mascot. The eagle, which will be named in a social media contest, will be at every Boston College home football game. The bird comes from Zoo New England and will be available for photos during the pre-game Fan Fest in the Flynn Recreation Complex, across from the stadium, <a href="http://www.bceagles.com/genrel/082813aab.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to a story on BCEagles.com</a>. The Fan Fest runs from 2 hours prior to game time to 15 minutes before kickoff. BC had a live mascot from 1961 to 1966, but not in the last 47 years. The next Boston College home game is Friday night at 8 p.m. against Wake Forest. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
