Boston College Reportedly will Host Notre Dame at Fenway Park

The hallowed home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park, will be the site of a football clash between two of the nation's top Catholic colleges - Boston College and Notre Dame.

The series between the Eagles and Irish has been off and on and is set to resume in 2015. The Boston Globe reports that the schools have been negotiating with the Fenway Sports Group to bring the football game to the ballpark. The talks have been going on for a few years, the Globe reports.

This would not be the first football game at Fenway, which was the home of the Patriots until 1968. The stadium also hosted games involving Boston University, Dartmouth College and BC, according to Wikipedia. 

In recent years it has also hosted hockey games, soccer matches and concerts.
