Boston College Students Get Papal Souvenir During Trip to Rome

See what the pair of Eagles returned with from St. Peter's Square.

Few college students come back with a souvenir from Europe better than Boston College juniors Ethan Mack and Katie Rich.

The pair visited St. Peter's Square in Rome on a recent trip and not only got a close look at Pope Francis, but traded zucchettos (Pope skull caps) with His Holiness, according to a report on WBZ-TV's website.

Mack held up his zucchetto as the pope passed by and Francis spotted him and sent a guard to get it. Francis tried it on and sent back his old cap, according to the report.

The Eagles included a note in their zucchetto saying “Boston College Loves our Jesuit Pope!” Francis is the first Jesuit pope and BC is a Jesuit institution.
