Vehicle almost causes multi-car accident, man disturbs the peace. Here are the Newton Police Logs for the mid-week.

NEWTON— The following is from Newton Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. And all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Follow the Newton Patch on Facebook.

Tuesday, Aug. 15

A vehicle made an unsafe lane change. The driver swerved without signal lights, almost causing two other vehicles to collide, including a State Trooper out on construction detail. The driver continued to travel on the left hand only lane entrance to the Mass Pike, again, using no signal lights, while other drivers slammed their brakes and swerved to avoid collision. The vehicle finally pulled over on Pearl St. The driver, Uwagabo Lawrence, 62, of Mattapan, was arrested with a suspended license, uninsured vehicle, and marked lanes violation.

A warrant was also put out for the arrest Derek T. Jean by Milford District Court.

Wednesday, Aug. 16

A Randolph man was arrested for disturbing the peace on Upland Avenue. Eddie Vasquez, 41, was allegedly speaking with slurred speech and had been reported for attempting to gain access to the area.
