Champions Send-Off, PMC is Coming, Municipal Ballot and More

1. Thursday is the day your Newton SouthEast Little League team heads to Bristol, Conn., to represent the state in the regional Little League tournament. Come by Newton Centre (across from Panera) Thrusday at 9 a.m. to wish them.

2. There's still time to support one of Newton's many, many Pan-Mass Challenge riders. The Garden City traditionally makes a stellar showing at the fundraiser. Check with your friends, find out whose riding and support the cause.

3. The Newton Free Library is showing "Journey to the Center of the Earth" Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The showing will take place in the Children's Room.

4. ICYMI. The deadline to submit nomination papers for Newton's 2013 municipal election has passed. Check out who turned in their papers and signatures.
