Firefighters Battle Flames at a Newton Home
The blaze at at Court Street home was contained quickly.

A fire broke out at a home on Court Street in Newton Wednesday afternoon, but Newton firefighters knocked down the blaze quickly.
Heavy flames were reported at the home at 95 Court Street after 3 p.m., but were extinguished in a few minutes, according to scanner reports.
As of 3:30 p.m., fire crews were checking to see if the fire had spread, but they did not find any additional flames.
