Hammond Pond Parkway In Newton To Get A Makeover

The Department of Conservation and Recreation has enlisted the help of engineering design consultant BSC Group to come up with a design.

NEWTON, MA — Hammond Pond Parkway may, in the future, be more bike and pedestrian friendly.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation has enlisted the help of engineering design consultant BSC Group to come up with a preliminary design to remake the stretch of road from Route 9 at Chestnut Hill's The Street to Beacon Street.

At 7 p.m. Jan. 21, the consultant will present the proposed design and take questions and get feedback from the public until Feb. 4.
