“At a time when lawmakers around the country are attacking LGBTQ+ kids and denying equality under the law for LGBTQ+ people in crucial areas of life like housing, education, and government and health services, the U.S. House of Representatives has served as a beacon of hope for our community,” Human Rights Campaign Interim President Joni Madison said in a statement. The members of the U.S. House endorsed by HRC today are champions of equality. They have advanced legislation during the 117th Congress to put our democracy back on track and deliver real positive change for LGBTQ+ people’s daily lives - including passage of the Equality Act, crucial federal legislation that would finally guarantee explicit protections for LGBTQ+ people under our nation's existing civil rights laws.”

"We can and must do it again, and HRC is committed to mobilizing 62 million Equality Voters nationwide to turn out this November and ensure these endorsed candidates win. Lives and our democracy are on the line.”
